MA, MFA, MSc and nationally titled master's degrees
A Master of Fine Arts is usually a practice-based terminal degree built around a graduation film or body of work. Master of Arts degrees mix practice and research; a Master of Science often has a technical emphasis; MRes degrees are research-led. Some countries use different titles for qualifications in the master's cycle — German Diplom, French DNSEP or school diplomas conferring a master's grade, Italian second-level diplomi accademici, Spanish Máster Universitario. Each card shows the exact award and whether it is an academic degree or a degree-equivalent qualification.
